We started the day with having some little girls over from church for a tea party play date. They brought her a tea set for her birthday. Sarah was sleeping when they came and when she woke up to a house full of girls she didn't quite know what to think of it. We served grapes, milk, and cupcakes on her new tea set. I goofed while making the frosting. I accidentally put in mapleine flavoring instead of vanilla and couldn't figure out why a few drops of flavoring were turning it so brown or why it smelled so strongly... I added a little vanilla and it turned out okay. Actually, I think it improved it so it wasn't so sweet.

Then we had lunch with Daddy using their free birthday coupons.

Her PINK (inside and out) girly cake. One day to pass the time, we looked at birthday cakes. She found one she liked that had a whole beauty set (purse, nail polish, lipstick, etc.) out of fondant. Too much work! So this is her pink cake complete with Grandma's strawberry jam in the middle, pretty shoes on top, jewelry and make - up (as represented by the lips and red chocolate 'compact'). I had intended to get the candy lipsticks at the dollar store, but they were gone when we went to get them so we got candy watches to hand out instead. We just had a family party in the evening.
